Born in Tono City, Iwate Prefecture. After graduating from a junior college in Yokohama, I joined a Danish shipping company. I began to seriously pursue calligraphy when I got married. While raising my children, I obtained a license in cultural calligraphy. I spent four years studying kanji, kana, classical transcription, and the Heart Sutra at a calligraphy university in Itabashi.
